Brrrr.... It's Cold in Here!!!!!

Haha, not really but it has been a really cool June for Arizona. Only one day of over 100 degree weather. Not too bad. But this post is not to talk about the weather but my funny kids. The beanies Tate and Adley are wearing were made by my brother Brendan, who is serving a mission in Peoria Illinois right now. The kids have been wanting to where them all day long. Even when the kids and I went to In N Out for lunch yesterday, the hats came along for the ride. Luckily I was able to leave them in the car while we ate otherwise I'm sure someone would have called CPS on me for making my kids wear beanie hats in June in Arizona. They do look so incredibly cute and I know if my brother were home he would love it too.

Arizona Science Center

On Tuesday the kids and I went to the Arizona Science Center with our friends Andin, Cambria and Andrea. Most of the things there were a little over the kids heads but all the kids enjoyed the Castle Creations by Lego and the Forces of Nature area. The Lego area was a huge hit of course. The kids could have spent hours there building and playing with the thousands of Legos they had. The Forces of Nature area you are able to learn about hurricanes, tornadoes, volcanic eruptions, monsoons and more. Everything was hands on and definitely kept the kids attention. It was a great summer activity to get the kids out of the heat for a little while and learn while they were doing it. I forgot my camera but my friend Andrea had hers so she was able to get a few shots of the kids. Thanks Andrea.

This is Tate and I checking out where they showed the whirl pool in a glass sphere. Tate was really intrigued by the water inside moving.
In the Castle Creations presented by Legos they had a castle set up and costumes for the kids to put on and pretend they were dragons and princesses.
I love how Adley and Cambria are just like, "Whatever" and Tate and Andin were still in their dragon costumes.
Tate sculpting his own castle out of Legos.
Check out this huge dragon made completely out of Legos. Someone must have had a lot of time and patience to build this. This dragon was like 6 ft tall. Way too much time if you ask me, but the kids thought it was cool.

Tate's 3 year pictures.......

Well since I was behind on Easter Pictures it only fits that I was behind on Tate's 3 yr pictures taken six months after he turned 3. Oh well, I guess he's still 3. Once again thanks to Rachael for doing a fabulous job. Tate was so cute during the whole photo shoot and it definitely shows in the pictures. He is growing up so fast I can hardly believe he's already 3 well on his way to being 4. After taking the pictures in front of the brick wall we decided to go to a grassy area nearby and let the kids run around and Rachael was able to get some great shots there as well.
Ok just one quick comment about the next three pictures, I love how they look like an action shot and I can totaly imagine Tate playing peek a boo in these pictures

Easter Pictures..... finally

Okay so these aren't so much Easter pictures as they are pictures of the kids in their Easter outfits. And I have been really slow about getting around to these. But I LOVE how they turned out. My photographer Rachael always does such an incredible job showing my kids personalities in the photos. This time we tried out a new location that neither of us had been to before, and I LOVE LOVE loved it. I love the brick wall and the door with iron handles. It was a great pick. As always I couldn't just pick one or two pictures that I loved so you get to view a whole bunch.

Not too Bad!!!

Yesterday my Mom and I took Tate to the movies to see Up. He was so cute throughout the movie. This is only the second time I have taken Tate to the theatres to see a movie and the first time was to the dollar theatre and there were only two other people in the theatre besides us so I didn't mind it as much if he was a little bit louder. But he did really well this time. He only got restless during a couple slower parts in the movie but when he thought something was funny he burst out laughing so hard. At one point the people sitting behind us were laughing at Tate and not the movie. He was so cute. Anyways after the movie Tate saw the arcade games that they had there and wanted to play one. So he picked this racing game. He had to sit on my lap and I had to press the gas pedal because he couldn't reach. But he did all the steering by himself. He kept moving the wheel back and forth back and forth the whole time. He crashed into the street lamps, houses, and even managed to crash through a dealership display window and all the cars inside. Needless to say he will not be driving any of my vehicles for a very long time. But even after all of that, he managed to get 5th place. I was really impressed. It was so nice to get some Tate and me time. It is very rare that I don't have Adley with me, so we definitely soaked all the time together we could.

Shoes!!!!!!!!!!

Trent's parents brought home all the grand kids and daughter in laws flip flops from Brazil. Talking about these flip flops has made me think of a hilarious story about Adley. So Adley is OBSESSED, I mean OBSESSED with shoes. When I was in California in April I had to go to Payless to get Tate some new shoes because he had outgrown his and I didn't know until we got there. As soon as we walked in the store Adley just stops and shouts "SHOES!!!!!!!!!!" and just runs, I mean sprints as fast as she can with her little stubby legs, to all the shoes and grabs as many as she can. Oh NOOOOO, right. Eighteen months and already has a shoe obsession. She is a girl after my own heart. So of course seeing the new shoes that Nana and Papa brought from Brazil was just soooo exciting. So I had to take some pictures showing off the new kicks!!!!

Home Sweet Home

Trent's parents having been serving a mission at the Brazil Campenas Temple for the past 18 months and just returned home last Thursday!!!!! The whole family went to the airport to greet them when they got off the plane. Tate and Adley were having more fun running around the airport then waiting for Nana and Papa to come. They were so excited to see them and we are excited to have them back here with us. We are so grateful for their service for the past 18 months and for the blessings our family has received for their service. We are also grateful for the wonderful examples they set for our children and continue to do so everyday. Here are a few pictures from the airport that morning.

All of the grandchildren that live in Arizona (all of them except for 3): Austin, Emma, Brooklyn, Tate, Aubrin, Kristen, Adley, Reagan, and Kate.
Adley seems very happy to be there
Waiting, waiting and........ MORE waiting!!!

Here they Come
Adley was a little unsure of Nana and Papa. She was only 2 months old when they left on their mission so she doesn't remember them at all
Tate is taking Nana to help her get her luggage. What a good little helper.
